Update about Ceos: "the commis" are now the controlling faction. It's quite hard to find long range transport missions at all. Most missions are piracy and smuggling missions now.

Getting close to being able to have enough to buy and [semi] outfit a Corvette. Might just buy it so I can start to get a feel for it. That extra cargo space would be nice too, even if it has a lacking jump range.
Plus the stick on my Python is starting to stick and usually needs constant input to stay on a straight path.

Planning to come back slowly to Elite, signed up for the Galactic Nebula Expedition, GNE for short. Yup, will be going out of the bubble once again, all the way to Sagitarious A this time. Apparently, the route plotted will bring us to Jaques station at some point so I'll get to see that too. The expedition departs September 3rd and reaches Sag A late November, so I'll be gone for a long time including the return trip. Until the departure date I will be based in Dvorsi, either dusting off my Corvete a bit or assisting people who run out of fuel.

I took my Vette to Farseer recently and got a pretty decent FSD range upgrade of 38% after 4 rolls.

Today I ran up to Farseer with my mission runner Python to roll the dice on an FSD upgrade for it.

First (and only!) roll results .....



Yup.... 47% jump range increase! Sweet! Now I have 4 rolls left to try my luck with other ships in fleet.

The Python went from:

13.75/15.94/16.04ly
to
20.11/23.31/23.34ly

Got my Python to 24.11ly Max, w/ fuel jump range on my 3rd roll. Then decided to get greedy and do another roll. Less Optimal mass, but also 2% less boottime and 3% less FSD mass. Decided to stick with this cause I thought it would give me better speed. Was wrong.
So now I'm down to 23.77ly.

I am also stuck in Crete and although I have a joystick and a fairly ok internet connection I refuse to play and stay till late at the beach and grab a beer or two in the evening

Vurry nice. I need that for my Asp.
I really wish that it would say in depth what is changing when you do upgrades. Like great I'm lighter now but what's my range?
