Back and forth with data deliveries for the Empire... no space for cargo, just fuel. :D

Just parked my butt on the couch - about 10 jumps to Colonia. I'm going to take a short break and then switch back to VR for the final run into Jaques.

I'm really enjoying the system map opening in as little as 1/2 second, usually 1-2 seconds, longest maybe up to 3-4 seconds, instead of the 10-20 seconds it regularly used to take, and also the sensors filling with planets as soon as the honk finishes, instead of sometimes filling in just as I'm jumping out of the system.
It's time to give this another go.

Thanks! I ended up up going to Jameson, then over to the CG at Aeternitus. It is very strange to see multiple CMDRs in one place, after seeing almost zero ships for the past few months.

Monday night with some great help from a CMDR Alan (I'll let him fully disclose himself if he so wishes) loading up my Anaconda with 192t of Travel Guides.

Tuesday night I headed out to the first Colonia outpost some 2,000ly away. I took a high-arc path that went 900ly upward and slightly off-axis (towards the 2nd outpost), before starting back down. I only had to go about 500ly out before I discovered my first system, and ended up traveling about 2,500ly total in up and off-axis, before starting to come back down, discovering a good dozen systems and hundreds of planets in systems already discovered.

Now about 600ly from the first outpost, the farthest I've ever traveled out. No mistakes ... yet.

Work kept me from any further progress last night. I plan on changing that in a few hours. But I'm definitely going to have to keep my exploration to a minimum to make it in the next 8 days like I desire.

Finally got a good 6 hours in Saturday night through very early Sunday morning. I made it to Eagle's Landing, thanx to some help from some Neutron stars.

Basically my route, thus far, has been ...
- Climb 900ly up, then back down, to Hillary Depot (Blu Thua AI-A c14-10)
- Skip Amundsen Terminal (Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10)
- Climb 1,100ly up, jump around, find some Neutron stars, then back down, to Eagle’s Landing (Eagle Sector IR-W d1-117)

One thing I found out, Jumponium does not combine with Neutron stars. I tried both before and after, +25%, +50% and +100%. No dice.

So, over the next week I'm going to try to get 20 hours in. I plan on using this route ...
- Skip Sacaqawea Space Port (Skaudai CH-B d14-34)
- Drop 1,100ly down, find some Neutron stars, then hit Gigarin Gate (Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31), which is around 900ly down
- Skip Polo Harbour (Boewnst KS-S c20-959)
- Stay around 1,100ly down, find more Neutron stars, then arrive at Jaques Station (Colonia), which is around 900ly down

Been giving it some pew pew in the Aeternitas CG. Took the fighter over; but christ can I not wait to get a decent combat ship to deploy from instead of parking the Keelback and going it alone. :x

Been doing the same in my Viper MKIV. Ripping wanted ships out of supercruise and blowing them to hell is a nice change of pace from mining and trading.

One on one sounds like too much hard work, plus it always turns into a jousting match for me.
Better to just help the cops in the RES :)

Finally back in the bubble. Made it in over the weekend.

My exploration trip in blue bookmarks. ;)

After repainting my Python and Vette Black Friday, and my Conda with Squadron green, I promptly took my Vette out to get an SLF bay and Rapid fire pulses. Also hired a Harmless pilot (cause she seemed to be the cutest looking of all the candidates. )

Going to fly my other ships for awhile and give Lady Jayne a break.

Have fun, fly safe. o7

- Stay around 1,100ly down, find more Neutron stars, then arrive at Jaques Station (Colonia), which is around 900ly down

So, it only took me about 4 hours to go 7,000ly thanx to boosting 150ly+ c/o Neutron Stars.

Made it to Gigarin Gate (Gru Hypue KS-T d3-31), and cashed in just over 4Mcr in Exploration Data. I'm finding every 1Mcr is good for about a 3.5% increase in rank as a Ranger. So I jumped from 7% to 21%. I'm now just 7,800ly from Jaques.

I'm kinda kicking myself for not scanning one system a bit more, as it was worth a good 400Kcr in just what I scanned, and I left several planets unscanned. Check out BLUA HYPUE JV-Y D79 if you ever have the chance heading to Gigarin Gate. I think there are still three (3) metal rich planets with 600ls of entry I didn't scan, and forgot to scan, before I went all the way out to the 25,000ls star and its planets. The whole system is worth a lot of money.

So ...

I finally ran into a half-dozen of those Neutron Stars that have main sequence stars well within 50ly or so. I saw one as close as 6ly and one as far away as 38ly. As a result, they put out those 'cones' which I did not attempt to charge under. Last thing I needed was to find out I will only damage my ship. The first one did scare the living daylights out of me though.

On YouTube people have been posting them as "Super Neutron Stars." Again, the common denominator I noted in all cases is a main sequence star well with 50ly or so. That what seems to cause it. I didn't go near the jets. Didn't want to die. I might go back to one after I deliver my stuff at Jaques and see if I can still boost ... or just die. ;)

I'd take some screenshots, but for some reason, they now seem to be disabled. I just updated the Steam client before playing, and they're no longer working, or at least no longer bound to F12.
