The notion that the two parties combined influence is 'locked in' for the duration of a war is wrong! There are differences both in Azrael and in Exioce since just yesterday.

Since yesterday, Azrael's warring factions combined influence changed by 0.1% and in Exioce by 0.5%

Hi Walter, I belong to the Order of Mobius and our current leader is Xebeth who you can contact in the elitepve.com site in case you want to check my credentials.

We recently expanded to Exioce from our Azrael homebase and fought a war with an NPC minor faction there. Our victory though didn't result in any base turnover despite our having a wide margin of victory which is why a bug report was filed.

I'm writing to you on behalf of the group to ask for your insights or knowledge re:expansions , things to watch out for that may not be described in full in your excellent BGS & minor factions post that may help us. Even if our Exioce effort proves to be a bust despite all our efforts ,we intend to keep on trying till we succeed.

Sincerely,

Cmdr Tifu

I know this isn't addressed to me (you mean Walt, not Walter), but you're asking for comments.

1 All the questions in your draft have already been asked and answered on Walt's thread - but you'll have to do a lot of reading until Walt's had time to condense it all down.

2 I can't speak for Walt or any of the other contributors to his thread, but whenever a request for help turns up the response is always for the evidence to tell your story (a point I've been labouring).

3 You're coming to the conclusion that wars in ED aren't just about blowing up ships: because wars are mechanical affairs, your key weapon is knowledge.

I'm trying not to tell you how to run your organisation, but my advice is to forget the last battle and thoroughly prepare for the next.

I certainly agree that something's wrong - you may remember I've also bug-reported this on the main forum as not working to spec. There's also discussion on Walt's thread where no-one has, as yet, found a flaw in my conclusions. What we've been told by DB is either wrong, only part of the story, or the mechanism is bugged.

@Walter your points are well noted, thank you for the inputs.

For the rest of the Order Commanders, since the bug report has been filed and the next war is yet to come - is the consensus to just leave Exioce alone for the time being?

Both @Xebeth and @Judson seem to agree on this and I am coming around to the same view that we all should just concentrate on Azrael for the meantime.

I think (our) Walter summed it up nicely.

On a related note, I'm not the leader of The Order of Mobius (although I am flattered by your suggestion), I am merely one of the humble civil servant in the Order. The Order has no leaders, and Mobius himself is obviously the senior of the leaders that we don't have ;), but being the enigmatic soul that he is he leaves the day to day administration to us :D .

I'll shelve the message for now until something really concrete turns up. Thanks for the clarification Xebeth!

As The Order of Möbius is a subset within the Möbius group, then why can it not be more focussed, with leaders, directed to its goals etc. Perhaps the dedicated members of OoM are awaiting such direction! I for one would gladly follow direct orders and I am pretty sure others would too!

Count me in too, we can have a small military strike arm (PvE of course) - we could name it the Sidewinder Legion :)

Well, Judson, so far you were great at suggesting the next good actions to take. So why only take orders?

Sorry old boy but I'm not a leader but a dedicated follower! I will of course chip in with my thoughts and observations if I may. :ugeek:

I am trying to get my head around the BGS and all of its quirks and with that in mind seeing a way forward isn't always so clear so if I start talking bollox I wont be offended if someone corrects me! ;)

Tifu I think Crimson may have to deal with Exioce Imperial Society before they can get to us so dont hold your breath for next week-end.

What I would like to see though for OoM is not only Xebeth's excellent standing orders but 'Daily Orders' military style. o7
