Not sure if you'd find this efficient, but I've been having fun with this kind of setup for PvE.

I still haven't upgraded it with a C8A PP and 7A Thrusters though, but so far it lasts good enough in high-intensity CZs.

Mine is all A, 432t, and I have all gimballed beams, but I wouldn't take it into battle that way. It's just for "boiling" fools that interdict me. If I were to take it into battle, I'd probably have a mix of turreted beams and turreted multi-cannons with either a PA or gimballed huge cannon on the C4, depending on heat/energy available.

Honestly though, the way AI gang up now, I don't know how long a Conda would last in a CZ, which is where you should test for combat readiness. It could probably do fine in a RES, but then, what ship wouldn't?

Low intensity combat zones are my main way to get huge amounts of money fast.
It could be my luck but with my current setup I can let the game run over night while my turrets eating through enemy ships. I made millions this way and it was also the way I got my Conda + A parts

Low intensity combat zones give you tons of money? Really? Do you get pirates there? Or are credits generated some other way? I never done those. Is it better than high-RES? For example, I can pile up at least 5-6mil per hour in a high-RES. If i'm lucky, it can get even higher than 8mil.

I can make roughly ~150 million in ~6 hours in a low CZ. Didn't try in a High CZ yet but if I find one I'll try and tell you how much I can get there.

I often find Low CZ's more challenging than High ones as it will all be going nice and steady, then all of a sudden you get a half dozen ships all turn on you!!!

You earn less money per kill than in a RES but it is a consistent amount per ship so for example an opposing factions Python will be worth 50K and an Anaconda will be 75k every time, There is a variation depending on the rank, elite being the most obviously. The one good thing is there is little to no waiting for ships, there is basically a constant supply of targets.

Just remember that a CZ is between 2 factions at war, you can check which ones in the menus ( press 4 then scroll one screen to the left and see who is at war with each other) Just make sure you are not ruining your reputation with one that you are aligned with. You also need to side with a faction, this can be done in the menus once again, apologies if you know this already.
Once sided, you are then fighting for that faction until you jump out of the instance. When you return you can choose sides again.
Also you do not get any money until you cash in the combat bonds at the supporting stations, same as claiming bounties but under combat bonds.

Hope that helps a little.

I'm curious to know how this works, 150 million in 6 hours is 25 million an hour, given that an anaconda kill in a CZ is worth 18,000, by my calculation that's 1388.9 anacondas an hour or 23 a minute, so 2.6 seconds per kill.

Is there some sort of bonus system I'm not aware of?

Rewards are

Anaconda: 75k(sometimes 72k for me)
Python: 50k
(some ships I don't know right now ): 40k- 36k - 20k(something like that)
Eagle: 8k
Sidy: 4k
one other small weird ship: 4k

Now the thing is that there are so many no shield low armor bad weapon pythons that jump in for the enemy team at my place (OTO)

I'd be very curious for what system this is, then again I can somewhat understand why you wouldn't share.
I am at this point about to give up on RES farming entirely, it's 2 hours resetting, looking for wanted ships and if you get a good spawn rate it will change on me back to sidewinders and cobras in at most ten minutes.

I honestly make as money on the bounties I collect getting interdicted while trading than RES farming pr hour.

EDIT:
And I just noticed you do mention where, (OTO) I first thought that was some funny looking owl like smily :D
Mere 170Ly off, I'm bored with this armpit of a system (it's not HIP, I dislike HIP even more)

People call me Bob.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

What I noticed about HIP is that awesome RES spawns always pop when they are in the "sunny" side of the asteroid belt. For example - I made 13mil from a RES spawn yesterday. Had to reset it twice though. But I'll check out CZ today just to compare it.
